Unfortunately Sownloader has been blocked by the official Smule servers. Therefore it is no longer possible for Sownloader to read the necessary data for the download.
Lately it has become more and more important for the community to be able to download the recordings from Smule. Due to the regular deletion of recordings, many members of the community have lost recordings they sang together with friends or even with a close friend. Sownloader was able to recover these recordings for a while, but sadly this will not be possible any more due to the lockout.
Maybe we can achieve something together as a community. Please tell Smule how helpful Sownloader has been for you. Maybe there will be a rethinking, if only enough people get in touch. But I would also like to ask you to remain objective in messages to Smule and not to insult its employees or products.
Send Mail to SmuleI also want to make clear that I will not give up Sownloader. The next logical step would be to develop a native app for iOS and Android. These would then also work independently from this website. The reason why there are still no apps of Sownloader is that I need a Mac for development. As a Mac is expensive, I could not put this into practice yet. Feel free to support Sownloader with a donation.
The already existing app for Windows should still work, though. Of course I will continue to maintain it with updates. The first thing I will implement here as soon as possible is an integration of the Profile Downloader and the Smule Undelete Tool.
Update
I have uploaded a workaround which should make it possible for Sownloader to detect an URL. It might be not available at all time, so this is just a temporary solution. Expect downtimes during 4am (GMT+1).
